Burlington youth soccer team wins flight at tournament

Earlier this fall, the Burlington Soccer Academy 2013 team won its bracket in Epping, N.H. at the Capitol Cup.

The girls defeated the FC Stars by a 3-2 score in their first game.

Scoring for Burlington was Lilah Lapon, Chase Palumbo and Kaitlyn Eldridge.

Lapon also had an assist.

BSA had excellent work in goal from Marin Crowley, Eldridge and Lapon.

Burlington won its second match by a lopsided 5-0 score.

Eldridge had two goals while other scorers included Crowley, Hope Calandrelli and Palumbo.

Chalking up assists were Molly Calandrelli with two, Crowley, Eldridge and Eliza  Interess.

Interess and Vera Beane split the shutout in goal.

In a match against Seacost, Lapon and Hope Calandrelli scored for Burlington with Interess assisting the tally by Hope Calandrelli.

Hope Calandrelli, Molly Calandrelli and Lapon all spent time in net for Burlington in the victory.

Other members of Burlington’s squad included Annie Nichols, Emily Agha, Lila Dooley and Lulu Kranz.
